Inline skate buckle straps are what helps you get a tight, snug fit when putting on your skate. Although they are made to be long-lasting, all skate buckles wear down at some point and need to be replaced. This is especially the case if you are taking part in a type of skating where your skates will face many impacts, such as aggressive skating. Buying an inline skate buckle replacement is a simple way to get your skates back to as good as new without having to buy a whole new pair.
Even though it’s possible to skate without buckle straps, they are important in giving you optimal ankle support. When buying new inline skate straps, remember that many designs are built to work with specific brands, so be sure to check the product description before buying.
Installing a New Inline Skate Buckle Strap
Before you put your new buckle on, first you will need to remove the lining and your old strap. To do this, you will need to start by drilling on the ring of the buckle head until it loosens (you may need a metal cutter depending on how tough this is). Once these have been loosened, it is a case of using your new hardware to screw the new buckle in place. When it feels secure, then you are good to go!
